Killing Game

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Among the prohibitions of ihram: Killing game.

Killing game means: Lawful, wild, untamed,Three conditions: 1/ That it be wild.
2/ And that it be lawful.
3/ And that it be naturally untamed,Meaning: not of the kind that becomes accustomed to people, like chickens, for example; there is nothing wrong with that.
And that it be wild, the opposite of marine; so if a group of people entered the state of ihram in the sea, adjacent to the miqat, and went down to catch fish, there is no blame on them because it is marine.

The second: Lawful; so if the one in ihram kills a game that is wild, there is nothing on him.

The third: That it be naturally untamed,Meaning: its original state is untamed, not accustomed to people,Its example is: pigeons meet the conditions; if they become untamed incidentally, not by nature, like a sheep that strays and they are unable to catch it, its ruling is the ruling of game, but for the one in ihram it is lawful; because its becoming untamed is incidental, not original.

Three conditions: That it be wild, lawful,Naturally untamed means: in its original state,The evidence for this is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of ihram.يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَقْتُلُوا الصَّيْدَ وَأَنْتُمْ حُرُمٌ
[al-Ma'idah: 95] meaning: in the state of ihram.

And Allah the Exalted said regarding the game of the sea:
Lawful to you is game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers, but forbidden to you is game from the land as long as you are in the state of ihramأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعاً لَكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُماً
[al-Ma'idah: 96] If a person not in ihram kills game, is it permissible for the one in ihram to eat it?
Yes, it is permissible, except if he hunted it for the sake of the one in ihram, then it is not permissible,By the hadith of Jabir, which is in the Sunan: (The game of the land is lawful for you as long as you do not hunt it or it is not hunted for you) .
