A man wounded game and did not have a knife to slaughter it, so he aimed his rifle at it and killed it. Is it permissible to eat it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah forgive you, O Shaykh. A man wounded game and caught it alive, but he did not have a blade. So he aimed his rifle at the head of the game and killed it. Is something like this permissible?

The Shaykh : This is not permissible. He says: A man hunted game and caught it alive with a stable life, then he aimed his rifle at its head and struck it with a fatal wound that killed it. Is it permissible? We say: No. But if he had aimed it at the place of slaughter, yes, it would have been lawful. Therefore, if we suppose that a man has a sheep and it breaks or is wounded, and he fears it will die, and he does not have a knife but has a rifle, he should aim it at its throat. If the blood flows, it becomes lawful.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
