If the oath is a single one concerning one matter or more
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16500 )
Q 2: A teacher quarreled with one of the students and swore to hit the student and expel him from the classroom. He then paid the expiation for his oath regarding the hitting. Is he required to pay an expiation for his conditional oath regarding the expulsion from the classroom, since he did not expel him?
J 2: If the oath is a single one concerning one matter or more, then breaking the oath requires only one expiation, and it does not multiply with the multiplication of the matters sworn upon in a single oath. Therefore, the expiation he pays covers his release from his oath regarding everything he swore to in it.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
