Swearing by the Gospel

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 15662 )
Q 2: What is the ruling in Islam regarding a Muslim who reads in the Gospel, and likewise one who swears by it?
A 2: It is not permissible for a Muslim to read in the Gospel; because it is distorted, and the undistorted parts of it have been superseded by the Noble Qur'an, except for those who need to read it in order to
refute the People of the Book, and that is specific to scholars. It is also not permissible to swear by the Gospel in its current state; because some of it is distorted and altered, and the distorted and altered parts are not from the speech of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
