Q 3: What is the ruling of Islam on the use of the drum and the hand drum?
A 3: It is not permissible to use the drum in any case; because it is one of the types of amusement. It is permissible to use the hand drum for women in the context of marriage; because of the announcement of the marriage it entails, and the Sunnah has come regarding its announcement. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
