Q4: What is the ruling on fasting voluntary fasts without the parents' approval ?
A4: Obedience to the parents is obligatory, and fasting voluntary fasts is a recommended practice (sunnah). If your parents order you to leave off voluntary fasting, it is obligatory for you to obey them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
