A : This book defends the doctrine of the Murji'ah who exclude deeds from the name and reality of faith, and that in their view it is a condition of perfection. The author has reinforced this invalid doctrine with quotations from scholars of knowledge, which he has manipulated by cutting, separating, and fragmenting the speech, and employing the speech in places where it does not belong, and error in attribution, as on (p. 9) where he attributed a statement to Imam Ahmad - may Allah have mercy on him - whereas it is from Abu Ja'far al-Baqir , and he made titles that do not agree with what he presents
beneath them, including on (p. 9) where he said: (The origin of faith is in the heart only, and its negation is disbelief), and he cited a text from the words of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah that does not agree with what he mentioned, and among the truncated quotations is his cutting of the words of Ibn Taymiyyah (p. 9) from (Fatwas 7/ 644, 7/ 377), and he quoted (p. 17) from (Sa'd al-Sabirin) by Ibn al-Qayyim and deleted what negates his position of irja', and on (p. 33) he deleted some of the words of Ibn Taymiyyah from (Fatwas 11/ 87), and likewise on (p. 34) from (Fatwas 7/ 638, 639), and on (p. 37) he deleted from the words of Ibn Taymiyyah in (Fatwas 7/ 494), and on (p. 38) he deleted the remainder of the words of Ibn al-Qayyim from (Kitab al-Salah p. 59), and on (p. 64) he deleted the remainder of the words of Ibn Taymiyyah in (al-Sarim al-Masul 3/ 967-969), and on (p. 67) he deleted the remainder of the words of Ibn Taymiyyah in (al-Sarim al-Masul 3/ 971). To the end of what is in this book of such enormities that defend the doctrine of the Murji'ah , and its presentation to people under the name of the doctrine of the people of the Sunnah and the community; for this reason, this book must be prohibited and its circulation stopped, and we advise its author to review himself and to fear Allah by returning to the truth and staying away from places of misguidance. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
