Fatwa No. ( 18883 )
Q: O Allah, to You belongs praise, abundant, good, and blessed. It fills the light of Your noble face, and fills the extent of Your vision, which has no end. It fills Paradise, and fills the Footstool and the Throne, and fills what is between them. It fills the heavens and the earths, and fills what is between them, and fills whatever You will of anything thereafter. You are the One worthy of praise and glory. O Allah, to You belongs praise, abundant, good, and blessed, equal to the number of Your creation forever, and the number of their movements and stillnesses, and the number of every year that passes over each of them, and the number of the ink of Your words, and the number of the letters of Your words, and the number of whatever You will of anything thereafter. You are the One worthy of praise and glory. O Allah, to You belongs praise with all Your praises, what we know of them and what we do not know. Question: Do these praises mentioned not contradict the Shari'ah and are permissible, or is it not permissible to utter them?
A: The praise of the servant for his Lord and his giving thanks to Him is among the most noble forms of remembrance and the most beloved to Allah. For this reason, it is established from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sahih Muslim 2760b
For this reason, Allah praised Himself, saying in the beginning of Surat al-Fatihah:[Al-Fatihah 1:2] And He the Exalted said: [Al-An'am 6:45] And He praised Himself in the creation of the heavens and the earth by saying: [Al-An'am 6:1] And He praised Himself for the perfection of His dominion over what is in the heavens and the earth, saying: [Saba 34:1] And He praised Himself for His uniqueness in originating creation without any prior example, saying: [Fatir 35:1] The praise of the servant for his Lord does not encompass all praises, and no one is able to count the praise due to Him. Our Prophet and our model (peace and blessings be upon him), the most perfect of creation in magnifying Allah and praising Him, had among his supplications: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3493Sahih (Darussalam) And in the praise of Allah after rising from the bowing: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3422Sahih (Darussalam) What was mentioned in this question of that praise and giving thanks, such as saying: "Filling the light of Your face, and filling the extent of Your vision which has no end, and filling Paradise, and filling the Footstool and the Throne... etc." is not prescribed; for it does not encompass the praise, and praise be to Allah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.

none loves His praise more than Allah Himself
For this reason, Allah praised Himself, saying in the beginning of Surat al-Fatihah:
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -
So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and to Him belongs [all] praise in the Hereafter. And He is the Wise, the Acquainted.
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth
I cannot count Your praises. You are as You have praised Yourself
O Allah, our Lord, to You is praise filling the heaven and filling the earth, and filling what is between them, and filling whatever You have wished of things afterward
