Clarifying the error in defining al-hamd (praise) as the expression of gratitude for voluntary good.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The brother mentioned that al-hamd is the expression of gratitude for voluntary good, is that right? This is incorrect, because Allah distinguished between al-hamd and al-thana (praise). He said in the first sentence: الحمد لله رب العالمين قال حمدني عبدي Praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds. He said: My servant praised Me. and in the second:
He said: My servant praised Me. قال أثنى علي عبدي
. Thus, Allah distinguished between al-hamd and al-thana. Al-hamd is describing the one being praised with perfection, even if it is not repeated, whereas al-thana requires the repetition of the description of perfection. If the description of perfection is repeated, it becomes al-thana. Pay attention, my brother, do you understand now? Annotate this book of yours, the one you have, annotate it, if Allah wills. Now,
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - الحمد لله رب العالمين
[Al-Fatihah 1:2]
