The third question of Fatwa number ( 18446 )
Q 3: I heard one of the preachers say: The scholars said: Whoever wants a good ending should frequently say: (Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, by Your mercy I seek help) and be consistent in reciting Ayat al-Kursi, reciting the last two verses of al-Baqarah, and reciting:[Ali 'Imran 3:26-27] from Al-Imran, and reciting: [Ali 'Imran 3:18] after every obligatory prayer. What is the authenticity of this statement? And what is the ruling on one who persists in doing this after the five prayers along with the prescribed dhikr mentioned in the Sunnah?
A 3: What is prescribed after the obligatory prayers, following the prescribed dhikr, is reciting Ayat al-Kursi, Surat al-Ikhlas, and the two Surahs of the Mu'awwidhat (the two chapters of protection), and repeating Surat al-Ikhlas and the Mu'awwidhat three times after the Fajr and Maghrib prayers. Among the causes of a good ending is steadfastness in obeying Allah outwardly and inwardly. As for what you mentioned, we do not know of any evidence for it from the Book or the Sunnah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

(26) Say, "O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent. (27) You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account."
