The second question of fatwa number ( 6342 )
Q 2: Is the hadith of the Prophet to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab:
Brother, do not forget us in your supplications.لا تنسانا يا أخي من دعائك
Riyad as-Salihin 713
authentic
? If it is authentic, how wonderful it would be if you would supplicate for us
and for our brothers, our children, and our wives for forgiveness and mercy, for indeed our Lord is vast in mercy and vast in forgiveness

Vol. 2: It was narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi in (their Sunan):
'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I sought permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to perform 'Umrah, so he granted me permission and said to me: Do not forget us, my brother, in your supplication, or he said: Include us, my brother, in your supplication. 'Umar said: He then said a word for which I would not want to have the world.
, and may Allah guide us and you to that in which He is pleased. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
