Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From Sudan, this female questioner says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The du'a of a Muslim for his brother is answered in his absenceدعاء المسلم لأخيه مستجاب بظهر الغيب
And for the first time I am saying to someone: Make du'a for me with you for recovery. Is this considered an intermediary between me and my Lord?

Answer:
There is no harm in this. If a person says to his brother, "Make du'a for me for recovery," or "Make du'a to Allah to provide me with such and such," or "Provide me with a righteous wife," there is no harm in this, and there is no blame, if Allah wills. Yes. And if he makes du'a, he will be rewarded with the same. The angel assigned to it said:
Amen, and to you the like of it.آمين ولك بمثله
, if he makes du'a for his brother, as stated in the noble hadith. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, O honorable Shaykh, and may Allah bless you and your knowledge and benefit the Muslims through you.
