Supplication to Allah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 9766 ):
Q: Is it permissible for a person to say, when seeking help, for example, "O Helper, O Lord," or when seeking ease in a matter, "O Facilitator, O Lord"? What is the criterion in this? And what is the ruling on one who says this while forgetful, ignorant, or intentionally?
A: It is permissible for you to say what you mentioned; because the intended meaning of "Helper," "Facilitator," and "Easer" in your invocation is Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), due to your explicit statement of "O Lord" at the end of the invocation, whether you said it while forgetful, ignorant, or intentionally. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
