The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18576 )
Q 2: What is your opinion regarding the phrase: ("and we seek His guidance") in the introduction of the speech :
("Indeed, all praise is due to Allah, we praise Him..") and which is more correct?
A 2: This phrase ("and we seek His guidance") is not authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), nor is it established in the hadiths of the Sermon of Necessity mentioned by the Imams of Hadith. Rather, what is transmitted in the Sermon of Necessity is what is authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) according to the Imams of Hadith, such as Imam Muslim , and Imam Ahmad , and Abu Dawud , and al-Nasa'i , and Ibn Majah , and al-Darimi , and the wording of Ahmad from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud , from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 1404 .. the hadith. And the wording of Muslim from Ibn Abbas : Sahih Muslim 868 .. " the hadith. And the rest of the Imams of Hadith narrated it with similar wording. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah: "The Prophet (ﷺ) taught us Khutbat Al-Hajah: Alhamduu lillahi nasta'inuhu wa nastagfiruhu, wa na'udhu billahi min shururi anfusina wa sayi'ati a'malina. Man yahdihillahu fala mudilla lahu wa man yudlil fala hadiya lahu. Wa ashhadu an la ilaha illallahu wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu. (Praise be to Allah, we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allah leaves astray, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.) Then he recited the following three verses: O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared
Praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, ask His help; and he whom Allah guides aright there is none to lead him astray, and he who is led astray there is none to guide him
إن الحمد لله، نحمده ونستعينه، من يهده الله فلا مضل له، ومن يضلل فلا هادي له، أما بعد
