Q 4: What is the ruling on raising the hands in supplication at the conclusion of the prayer after the tasbih, tahmid, and takbir ?
A 4: Raising the hands in supplication after the obligatory prayer is a religious innovation (bid'ah); because there is no evidence for it from the Book or from the Sunnah, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 1718b .
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
