Peace upon the one who is lazy about prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 1405 )
Q 3: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to spread the greeting of peace. I read a hadith to the effect that one should not greet the Jews of my Ummah. It was asked: Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Those who hear the adhan but do not come to the prayer. So if I pass by a group and I know that they will not stand up for the prayer, and I am on my way to the mosque and they are sitting, which of the two hadiths should I follow?
A3: We do not know any basis for the hadith you mentioned. What you should do is that if you pass by a group of people sitting and you are on your way to the mosque, you should advise them, guide them, and warn them so that they perform the prayer in congregation. If they refuse, then report their matter to the official in charge of enforcing public morals (hisbah) in your area, and by doing so, your obligation is discharged. As for greeting them, you should greet them initially and continue to do so until it becomes clear to you that they are persisting in abandoning the congregational prayer. After that, it is recommended to boycott them and stop greeting them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
