Trousers are subject to the same rulings as garments regarding their lengthening and shortening

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 15687 )
Q: I am in a profession that requires me to sew trousers , and they are always in the person's hand, so he can lower them below the ankles or keep them above the ankles. Is there anything on me in that if the isbal (letting the garment hang below the ankles) is long or if it is not let down? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: You must cut and sew the trousers in the Shari'ah-prescribed manner, which is not below the ankles. If you are asked to make them below the ankles, it is not permissible for you to do so, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
But whatever is lower than the ankle is in the Fireما أسفل من الكعبين ففي النار
Sunan Ibn Majah 3573Sahih (Darussalam)
, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to assist in the commission of a forbidden act. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
