Q2: Is wearing silk forbidden for men and women alike?
A2: Wearing silk is lawful for women absolutely, whereas for men it is forbidden except out of necessity; such as one whose skin has itching due to scabies or the like, for whom it is permissible to wear it until the necessity ceases. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
