Deception in Taking a Loan from the Savings Bank
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 14452 )
Q: I would like to take a loan from the Savings Bank, and one of the bank's conditions is that the borrower must have a property deed or a marriage certificate, and it is not hidden from you that I do not meet this condition. The question is: Is it permissible for me to seek the help of one of my brothers or others who meet the conditions, on the agreement that he gives me the amount and I pay the annual installment to him, and he in turn pays the installment to the bank, on the condition that he does not take a fee for this work? I ask for clarification and guidance.
A: It is not permissible for you to borrow in the name of another person; because of the lying involved in that. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
