The third question of Fatwa No. ( 18885 )
Q 3: One of the Christians entered into a dialogue with us, and among the things we asked him was this question, the text of which is: (Can Allah, Mighty and Majestic, create a god like Himself)? So I stood helpless and was unable to answer it. We ask for an answer to this.
A 3 : Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said in His Noble Book:[Al-Mu'minun 23:91] , so Allah clarified in this verse the impossibility of the existence of a god, as this entails and necessitates the following prohibitions: The first prohibition: And Allah clarified it by saying: meaning that each god would be independent in what he created, would monopolize it, and his dominion would be distinguished from the dominion of the other, and demands, warfare, and dominance would occur between them. Exalted is Allah above that. The second prohibition: Dispute between them, each seeking to be above the other, and seizing what is in his hand and subduing him, and taking his dominion, and the dominance of the strong over the weak, as the Exalted said: [Al-Mu'minun 23:91] Exalted is Allah above what the wrongdoers say, in great elevation. The third prohibition: The corruption of the earth and the heavens and what is in them of
created beings, as the Exalted said:[Al-Anbya 21:22] For if there were a god other than Allah, it would necessitate that each one be capable of monopolizing action, and dispute and difference would occur, and as a result, the corruption of the earth and the heavens and what is in them would happen. Exalted is Allah above that, in great elevation. It is not permissible for a Muslim, especially one who has little knowledge and understanding, to enter into dialogue and debate with those misguided doubters; because his lack of knowledge causes some doubts to arise in himself, and an inability to answer, and gives the opposing debater the position of strength, and places the Muslim debater in the position of weakness by establishing the argument against him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

A 3 : Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said in His Noble Book:
Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him].
Then every god would have taken away what he created
إِذًا لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَand some of them would have sought to overcome others
وَلَعَلا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍcreated beings, as the Exalted said:
Had there been within the heavens and earth gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
