Part One: General Servitude.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : General servitude encompasses everyone in the heavens and the earth, whether believer or disbeliever, righteous or wicked, obedient or open sinner. Among its indications is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant.
[Maryam 19:93]
This servitude is submission to the cosmic decree of Allah. There is no one in the heavens or the earth who is not subject to the cosmic decree of Allah. Here is Pharaoh, the head of the tyrants, who submitted to the cosmic decree of Allah. Allah Mighty and Majestic drowned him with the very water he used to boast about before his people, saying:
does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flowing beneath me; then do you not see?
[Az-Zukhruf 43:51]
? Allah destroyed him with the very thing he boasted about. With what? With drowning. Allah the Exalted drowned him until, when drowning overtook him, he said:
I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of the Muslims." أمنت بالذي آمنت به بنوا اسرائيل وأنا من المسلمين
[Yunus 10:90]
It was said to him:
Now? And you had disobeyed [Him] before and were of the corrupters?
[Yunus 10:91]
He was the most arrogant of the arrogant. So, is he a servant of Allah by virtue of the cosmic decree or the legislative decree? The cosmic decree. And Allah the Exalted said regarding 'Aad, the people of Hud:
As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.
[Fussilat 41:15]
Then Allah the Exalted said:
Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength?
[Fussilat 41:15]
Reflect on His saying that it is Allah who created them; He did not say that it is Allah who created the heavens and the earth, but rather said: that it is Allah who created them, in order to make clear to them their weakness before their Creator, Mighty and Majestic. The One who created them is stronger than they are in power, and they used to deny Our signs.
