The first question of Fatwa number ( 10578 )
Q 1: I am a young man who has adopted the creed of tawhid (the oneness of Allah), but my family belongs to the sect (al-Marganiyyah), which is called (al-Khatmiyyah) in Sudan . Since I adopted the creed of tawhid until now, I have been calling them, but they have not listened to my words; because I am the youngest in this family. Is it permissible for me to leave them and call others? And if I call people other than my family, does the saying of Allah the Exalted apply to me:[As-Saf 61:2] the verse.
The one I am calling says to me: Go, call your family first, then call the people.
A 1: Continue calling them and call others, and the saying of Allah the Exalted:[As-Saf 61:2] does not apply to you, as long as you have applied the call to the truth in yourself, then you have called them and others to it. Success is from Allah, not from you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
