The Shaykh : Yes, yes.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Regarding what? Yes.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Is he saying it like this?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : No, this is not sound speech. The group is distributed throughout the Islamic lands and is not confined to a single region among them. However, the reality is that the land of Sham has the lion's share of this virtue. It came in "Sahih al-Bukhari" in the hadith of Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan when he narrated this hadith:
A group of people from my Umma لا تزال طائفة من أمتي
Sahih Muslim 1923
to the end of it. Mu'awiyah said: "And this is Mu'adh ibn Jabal saying: They are in Sham." There are explicit hadiths regarding this, and in the vicinity of Bayt al-Maqdis. Islamic history testifies that for late centuries, they were in Sham, supporting the Sunnah and calling to the creed of the righteous Salaf. But this, in fact, does not necessitate confinement; there may be groups of them in India, in Sindh, in Egypt, and in other lands.
The Shaykh: In summary, there is nothing in the Sunnah that confines the group to one country over another.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : I have no disagreement, but this contradicts your words. Please, may Allah reward you. Yes.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : The answer is with proof and strength. If time reaches them, they will also be victorious in battle.
