The Book of Mercy in Medicine and Wisdom

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: (Mercy in Medicine and Wisdom) by Jalal al-Din 'Abd al-Rahman al-Suyuti . This book recounts medicines, some of which are known, while others contain shirk (associating partners with Allah) or at least doubt. For example: for fever: he writes on three olive leaves, on the first: the rope of Hell, and on the second: I slaughtered
A dead locust is taken and slaughtered, and one must beware of the female or the male, and it is slit open from its back. The skin of its right side is taken along with three olive leaves after writing on the first: "Most salty, most sweet"; on the second: "Sweet, ugly"; and on the third: "Go away, you fever, and peel off." Then equal parts are peeled from an onion, then divided into seven parts, and the clothes and body are kept pure. When the fit comes, one part is burned and the head is covered until he calls out: "O my master Mu'awiya ibn 'Anq, and O my master Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani." Then he gets up after the fumigation and sleeps while whispering "Maddad" (aid) to the shaykhs, for Allah the Exalted will cure him. For fever as well: write on three bones to be burned, writing on the first: "Igligh Buriq"; on the second: "O Guide"; and on the third: "Yarikh," one each day. These are simple examples from this book, and as you can see, it contains great shirk (associating partners with Allah). So I ask you to clarify to us who this author is ( Jalal al-Din Abd al-Rahman al-Suyuti ).

A2 : The book (The Book of Mercy in Medicine and Wisdom), attributed to al-Suyuti, is a book of no good; because it contains many superstitions and acts of shirk (associating partners with Allah). Therefore, it is obligatory to be cautious of this book and not to rely on it; in order to protect the creed from what invalidates it or corrupts it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
