The Cure from al-Suyuti's Book of Medicine

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 1764 )
Q 2: Is it permissible to seek treatment with what is in the book: (Medicine and Wisdom) by al-Suyuti, and is it permissible to take a fee for treatment and prescribing medicine as detailed in this book, or not? And is it permissible to take a fee for ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) for the evil eye or envy, and is this ruqyah permissible or not?
A 2: Seeking treatment with what is established from Allah and His Messenger is prescribed, and likewise seeking treatment with natural medicines that have no objection to them. It is permissible to take a fee for this; due to the establishment of the Shari'ah evidence for it. As for consuming any of the forbidden medicines or medicines about which the patient is in doubt, it is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he prohibited seeking treatment with forbidden things, and it is established from him that he said:
Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt.دع ما يريبك إلى ما لا يريبك
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5711Sahih (Darussalam)
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
