Eating at a table where its occupants consume what is forbidden
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 3: When I eat in a restaurant, there may be on the same table where I place my food someone who is eating and drinking what is forbidden at the same time I am eating. My nature abhors this, but I find myself somewhat compelled to do so. Is it forbidden to eat at the same table? Knowing that the person eating in front of me may be someone I do not know. Please issue a ruling for us.
May Allah reward you with good.
A 3: If the situation is as described, there is no blame on you in that. However, you should strive to avoid eating with people like them as much as possible, in order to stay away from the places of what is forbidden. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
May Allah reward you with good.
