Q3: Is it permissible to hold bread with the left hand or not? I observe that about ninety percent of people still take the bread with the left hand in order to cut it with the left hand or hold it with it, knowing that the bread is soft and one cannot pass it to the right hand without the left hand. I ask for information on this.
A3: It is permissible to hold bread with the left hand, but taking and giving to others is done with the right hand, out of regard for proper conduct. As for eating, it is not permissible with the left hand if one is able to eat with the right hand.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
