A student in university housing who feeds his visitors from the food allocated to students because it is discounted

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 4306 )
Q3: I am a university student, and my brothers come to visit me from non-university neighborhoods, so I give them the meal ticket, which sells for (1.5 dinars) ,
and the truth is: guests who are not students eat with a ticket that sells for (5 dinars), knowing that the remaining food will be thrown in the trash. What is the ruling on this in a non-Muslim country?

A3: If the matter is as you described, then this is lying and assisting in consuming wealth through falsehood, so it is forbidden. It is not permissible to consume the wealth of others through lying, whether the owner is a Muslim or a dhimmi (a non-Muslim under Muslim protection). As for if he is a harbi (a non-Muslim in a state of war), his wealth is lawful for Muslims. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
