Eating from forbidden or doubtful earnings
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 8244 )
Q3: IfI have a friend whose earnings are from deception, and I am obligated to visit him as if he were a relative, is there any sin on me in eating at his place ؟
A3: If the food he serves is earned from what is forbidden, or if all his earnings are forbidden, then it is forbidden for you to eat from it. However, if his wealth is a mixture of lawful and unlawful, it is permissible to eat from it, according to the correct opinion of the scholars. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
