Does the emission of semen from thought carry the ruling of the secret habit?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18019 )
Q: A person may be overcome by his desire, so he thinks about intercourse frequently, and semen is emitted from him. Does this fall under the category of the secret habit? That is one matter. And if he thinks about intercourse in order to emit semen and feels pleasure, does this also fall under the category of the secret habit? We ask you to inform us of the Islamic ruling on this matter, and may Allah reward you with good.
A: If a thought occurs to a person and he thinks about intercourse inadvertently, there is no blame on him, if Allah wills; because of what is in the authentic collections from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah has accepted my invocation to forgive what whispers in the hearts of my followersإن الله تجاوز لي عن أمتي ما وسوست به صدورها
Sahih al-Bukhari 2528
, and in another narration:
the evil thoughts that occur to their minds, as long as such thoughts are not put into action or utteredما حدثت به أنفسها ما لم تعمل أو تتكلم
Sahih al-Bukhari 5269
. However, one who thinks and emits semen due to his pleasure in the thought must perform the full ritual bath; because the ruling of major ritual impurity has attached to him in this state. As for one who intentionally engages in this thinking and seeks it out from time to time, this is not permissible, and it is not befitting the character of a Muslim, nor does it accord with the perfection of manliness. The Muslim must restrain himself from it and occupy himself with what diverts him from arousing his desire, in what benefits him in his religion and his worldly life. Moreover, intentionally arousing oneself by other than the prescribed path is harmful to the health of the body and the mind, and it is feared that it will lead to consequences that are not praiseworthy. The matter becomes more ugly in the case of one who intentionally engages in this matter while Allah has made him self-sufficient with a wife. Whenever a husband becomes accustomed to this shameful character and makes it the stage for his thoughts, the rectitude of the situation, the tranquility, and the mercy that Allah the Exalted has placed between the two spouses are in danger. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
The Muslim, and it contradicts the perfection of manliness. The Muslim must restrain himself from it and occupy himself with what diverts him from arousing his desire, in what benefits him in his religion and his worldly life. Moreover, deliberately arousing oneself by other than the prescribed means is harmful to the health of the body and the mind, and it is feared that it will lead to consequences that are not praiseworthy. The matter becomes even more ugly in the case of one who resorts to this act while Allah has made him rich with a wife. Whenever a husband becomes accustomed to this shameful habit and makes it the theater of his thoughts, then the rectitude of the situation, the tranquility, and the mercy that Allah the Exalted has placed between the two spouses are in danger. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
