Does the emission of semen require the full ritual bath?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 14504 )
Q: I am a young man, 27 years old, married with four children. I suffer from the emission of semen before urination, after urination, or after taking the full ritual bath from major ritual impurity . Sometimes I think about major ritual impurity or kiss my wife while I am at my workplace, and when I enter the restroom, I see this semen coming out. I went to specialist doctors and they gave me medication. I took the medication, but I am still suffering from this ailment. What is the ruling on my prayer and what is the ruling on my fasting?
A : The fasting is valid. As for the prayer, if the semen is emitted due to desire, you must perform the full ritual bath, even if the cause of the desire was thinking. However, if it is emitted without desire, its ruling is the same as that of urine; it invalidates the ablution. Therefore, you must clean yourself and perform the prescribed ablution for prayer.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
