He committed zina then repented; does he have a repentance?

Fatwa number ( 2788 )
Q: I am married, and my wife is in my country, while I work in Brazil for a living and to educate my children. However, I committed the crime of zina here. I have repented and turned to Allah. Is that sufficient, or not? Or is it necessary to carry out the hadd punishment? Please issue a ruling, may Allah have mercy on you.
A : There is no doubt that zina is among the major sins. Among its means are the exposure of women, the mixing of men with unrelated women, the dissolution of morals, and the corruption of the environment in general. If you committed zina because of your distance from your wife and your mixing with people of evil and corruption, and then you regretted your crime and repented to Allah with a sincere repentance, we hope that Allah will accept your repentance and forgive your sin; for Allah the Exalted said:
(68) And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. (69) Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - (70) Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
[Al-Furqan 25:68-70]
It is also established from 'Ubadah ibn
al-Samit
(may Allah be pleased with him) in the hadith of the women's pledge that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever among you fulfills his pledge, will receive his reward from Allah, and whoever commits any of those sins and receives the legal punishment (in this life), his punishment will be an expiation for that sin; and whoever commits any of those sins and Allah screens him, then it is up to Allah to punish or forgive them.
Sahih al-Bukhari 4894
. However, it is obligatory for you to migrate from the corrupt environment that tempts you to sins, and to seek a living in other countries that are less evil than it, in order to preserve your religion. Indeed, the earth of Allah is vast, and a person will not fail to find a land in which to earn what Allah has decreed for him of sustenance. And whoever fears Allah, He will make a way out for him and provide for him from where he does not expect. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
