Purchasing Intoxicants

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eighth question of Fatwa No. ( 4765 )
Q 8: Is it permissible for a Muslim to buy intoxicants ? Because some people have friends, both Muslims and disbelievers, who drink intoxicants and enter cafes with them. Is it permissible for them to pay for what they all drank? The person who pays for what they drank never drinks intoxicants at all. Is this permissible for him or not?
A 8: It is forbidden for a Muslim to provide intoxicants to his companions, whether they are disbelievers or Muslims, and whether that is in a cafe, in his home, or in another place. It is not permissible for him to pay for them even if he does not drink from them; because Allah the Exalted has cursed intoxicants, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, and the one who consumes its price. He should avoid bad companions in order to protect himself from falling into sins. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
