What is required of the woman in the waiting period

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 19756 )
Q2: My sister’s husband passed away about two months ago. Her mind became confused while she was observing her waiting period because of the women living next to her. They told her: Do not
wear many clothes; choose two or three outfits, because these clothes, at the end of the waiting period, are given out as charity, or torn up and thrown away, or weighed and given out as charity according to their weight. They also told her that the soul—your husband’s soul—descends on Thursday, so give charity on the night of Wednesday, the night of Thursday, or on Thursday. They also said that if she wants to give charity, she should give something ready-made, such as cooked food, for example. They also permitted her to visit her husband’s grave. Are these actions correct in Islamic law?

A2: The woman in the waiting period is required to observe the mourning period (i'dad), which consists of five things: 1 - Remaining in the house where her husband died, as long as she is able to do so, and it is not permissible for her to leave it except for a need. 2 - Avoiding perfume on her clothes and her body, and likewise henna. 3 - Avoiding wearing jewelry of any kind. 4 - Avoiding wearing clothes of adornment. 5 - Not applying kohl to her eyes. She is not required to give her clothes that she wears during the waiting period as charity, nor to give charity equal to their weight, and it is not permissible for her to tear them up. All the things mentioned in the question are incorrect; therefore, it is not permissible to act upon them.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
