He said to her: I will be patient with you until so-and-so completes his education

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 21351 )
Q1: I am a man married to two women, and each woman has children. I was unable to bring them together in one residence, and one of them causes many problems, disputes, and arguments between us. One day, after she had angered me, I said to her: "I will be patient with you until (so-and-so) completes his education," and he was her youngest son. In my heart, I intended and harbored in my intention to divorce her, and I threatened her with that. I am now regretful of what I did, even though I did not swear an oath, but it was in my intention. Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you.
A1: As long as you did not utter the words of divorce, you owe nothing, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Verily the Great and Mighty Allah forgave my people the evil promptings arising in their minds, but they neither talked about them nor acted upon them.إن الله تجاوز لأمتي عما حدثت به أنفسها ما لم تعمل أو تكلم به
Sahih Muslim 127b
It was narrated by Muslim in his (Sahih). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
