Q: I am (M.A.A.). On 12/9/1399 AH, in Ramadan, they asked me: "Did you divorce your wife?" I said: "Yes," out of anger in the heat of rage, at the same time of the rage on 13/9/1399 AH. I have brought the two men whose names are mentioned, (S.A.S) and (S.M.S), and I have brought her at that time, as I am taking back my wife (Z.S.M.Q).
A: Your saying "yes" to the one who asked you about the divorce of your wife is considered one revocable divorce. If it was not the last of three revocable divorces, then your taking her back is valid. If it was the last of three revocable divorces, she is not lawful to you again except after a husband marries her in a lawful marriage, not intending to make her lawful for you, and your marriage to her after that must be with a new contract and a new mahr, with her consent.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
