Is it permissible for an elderly woman to marry?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 6422 )
Q1: A woman who has passed the age of seventy, and whose husband died at that time, is it permissible for another man to marry her?
A1: It is permissible for another man to marry her, even if her age exceeds that; because the original ruling is the permissibility of marriage, until a religious text comes that transfers it from that original ruling, and no text or scholarly consensus has been established that necessitates transferring it from that original ruling, but this is after the completion of the waiting period. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
