The husband's brother is not a mahram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 16402 )
Q5: In some families, the women of the brothers' households expose themselves to one another. When we advise them, they say: "These are brothers who do not want to separate from one another; your only intention is to divide them. How can hijab be maintained in this situation?"
A5: It is not permissible for women to expose their faces in the presence of their husbands' brothers, because they are not mahrams to them; rather, they are in-laws. And it has been said:
Narrated Jabir: Never was the Prophet (ﷺ) asked for a thing to be given for which his answer was 'no'.سئل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الحمو، فقال: الحمو: الموت
Sahih al-Bukhari 6034
meaning: the danger of the in-law is greater than the danger of a stranger, because he is a place where one is likely to be lax regarding the removal of hijab and other matters.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
