Q: Is it lawful or forbidden for the wife's sister to kiss her sister's husband, for the husband's brother to kiss his brother's wife, and for kisses to be exchanged between Muslim women and the sister's husband and the brother's wife?
A: That is not permissible; due to the generality of the evidence of prohibition from the Book and the Sunnah,
and what some people have practiced as customs in this regard, these customs are contrary to the Shari'ah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
