A: It is permissible for a man and his wife to sleep naked, covered by a single blanket; because it is permissible for each of the spouses to touch and look at the entire body of the other, and because it was narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Nasa'i from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)
She said:Sunan Abi Dawud 2166Sahih (Al-Albani) However, what is prescribed in this case is that he should order her, if she is menstruating, to wear a waist wrapper; because it was narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim (may Allah have mercy on them both), from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: Bulugh al-Maram 145 And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
