Benefits of the Hadith: (… Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “I used to comb the head of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while I was menstruating”)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In this is evidence that the body of a menstruating woman is pure, and it is indeed so. The menstruating woman in Islamic law is pure, not ritually impure. Accordingly, she is not required to wash her clothes in which she menstruated, except for the blood that touched them.
And what some women think, that if a woman menstruates in a garment, she cannot pray in it, is an error. Yes, that is correct.
In it is also evidence that a woman serves her husband in such matters, because combing hair requires tools such as a comb, oil, and the like. A wife serving her husband in a good manner is what the Shari'ah prescribes.
As for the Westerners and those who follow them who serve their wives, Allah has inverted their fitrah (innate natural disposition) and they have inverted their conditions. It has become the case that the man combs his wife’s hair, perhaps, yes, or brings her her needs. This is undoubtedly contrary to the fitrah, contrary to the Shari'ah, and contrary to manliness. The man is a man and the woman is a woman, but there is no doubt that they have the same rights as their husbands have over them, in a good manner. For Allah said:
And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable وَلَهُنَّ مِثلُ الَّذي عَلَيهِنَّ بِالمَعروفِ
[Al-Baqarah 2:228]
As for making her the one on top and the man the one below, that is the way of the disbelievers, and I seek refuge in Allah from that. Yes.
