Postponing Childbirth

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 16013 )
Q4: Is family planning and birth control forbidden? And is there anything required of a man if he wishes to postpone childbirth for a known period?
A4: Birth control is forbidden; because increasing the number of offspring is required in Islam; to increase the number of the Ummah. As for family planning, meaning: delaying pregnancy for a valid purpose; such as the woman’s weakness for pregnancy, or the need to breastfeed the existing child—there is no harm in it due to necessity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
