The ruling on consistently performing marriage contracts in mosques

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 9388 )
Q2: Is consistently performing marriage contracts in mosques considered a recommended practice (sunnah), or is it considered a religious innovation (bid'ah)?
A2: The matter of performing marriage contracts in mosques and other places is broad in terms of the Shari'ah. We are not aware of any evidence indicating that performing them specifically in mosques is a recommended practice (sunnah). Therefore, insisting on performing them in mosques is a religious innovation (bid'ah).
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
