Education with Tabarruj

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 5799 )
Q3: Is it lawful for a girl to be educated in schools while wearing the hijab, and what is the brother's duty toward his sister, given that he has employed all methods of calling and guidance with her, but she is insistent on education while wearing the hijab, and that using force with her angers the parents? Do I have the right to intervene in her affairs despite the parents' anger? What is my duty after all of this, and what is the ruling of the religion in
that matter, and what should I do?

A3: It is not permissible for a woman to practice tabarruj (displaying adornment) when she goes out for education or anything else. Whoever goes out or appears before non-mahram men in a state of tabarruj is sinful. It is the duty of her guardians, including her parents, brothers, and other relatives, to advise her and command her to observe hijab. The closer a Muslim is to her, the more obligatory it is for him to advise her. If you advise your sister and she accepts, praise be to Allah. If she refuses, her sin is upon her and upon whoever was negligent in commanding her. As for women learning the Islamic sciences and what they need for the affairs of their homes, it is obligatory, but with the preservation of what Allah has made obligatory upon them, such as hijab and other noble morals. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
