The second question of Fatwa number ( 10580 )
Q2: A man married a woman in a valid Islamic marriage, and he paid part of the bridal gift, with half of it remaining as a debt. She bore him a son and two daughters. Before he paid the remainder, the marriage between them became invalid. Is the man required to pay the remainder to the woman?
A2: He is obligated to pay the remainder of the bridal gift because he consummated the marriage. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
