The first question of Fatwa number ( 19313 )
Q1: What must a woman do to be a committed Muslim?
A1: It is obligatory for a person, whether male or female, to enter Islam by testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the prayer, paying the obligatory alms, fasting Ramadan, and performing the major pilgrimage to the House if he is able to do so. He must also adhere to the pillars of faith, which are: faith in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and the divine decree, its good and its evil. He must fulfill the remaining obligatory duties and avoid the forbidden things. By doing so, he becomes a true Muslim. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
