Q3: Does a nursing mother have the right to inherit from her nursing son if he dies and leaves behind children and a wife, and how much does she inherit?
A3: A nursing mother does not have the right to inherit from the one she nursed because of the nursing, whether he has other heirs or not. She may, however, have the right to inherit for another reason; for example, if the nursing mother is the nursing child’s grandmother or his sister by blood, she inherits due to the blood relationship. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
