Bringing the wife to be with her husband in a foreign land
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 4890 )
Q: I am a resident in Saudi Arabia for a period of one year and three months, and I am away from my family. Now I want to bring my wife to Saudi Arabia and settle her there. I have a mother, brothers, and relatives in my country. Is it permissible for me to leave my mother, brothers, and relatives and not visit them? Knowing that I write to them and send them whatever money I can. Also, my country is full of evil, immorality, and religious innovations, as Allah knows best, since they do not establish the congregational prayer in the mosque except for Maghrib and Isha only, and they do not pray the rest in congregation. Advise us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: Bringing your wife to be by your side in a foreign land has many benefits, and there is no blame on you for delaying the visit to your mother and brothers as long as you correspond with them and support them with whatever money is available to you.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
