Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 21873 )
Q: My uncle is married to my aunt, my father’s sister, and he has another wife. Allah did not grant them children, and they have now become very elderly and unable to take care of themselves as required. I would like to hire a maid for them and her husband as a driver. Is it permissible for me to pay the salary of that driver and that maid from my zakah? I know that the people mentioned have no financial income. May Allah reward you with the best reward. .
A : If the two mentioned are poor and unable to hire servants at their own expense, there is no harm in hiring them for them from the zakah; because they are among the necessities for them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
