Being kind to the husband's parents is part of good marital conduct
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa number ( 18280 )
Q3: Is it the husband's right over his wife that she treats his parents well and be dutiful to them, even if they are not Muslims? Knowing that she lives separately from his family and visits them from time to time. Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you with good.
A3: Good treatment is required of the Muslim woman toward her husband's parents and toward others, but it is more emphasized with her husband's parents; because of the good marital conduct involved in it and helping the husband to be dutiful to his parents. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
